Zimbabwe riot police break up street protests

Riot police attacked doctors and nurses protesting over Zimbabwe’s deepening economic and health crisis today.

The medical staff, some in uniform, fled the police charge. Nearby police stopped teachers trying to join the same protest, part of a mass union movement to press the government to respond to the worsening situation.
