Death toll more than 300 in Nigeria violence

The top religious official at the main mosque in a riot-hit Nigerian city said the death toll has reached more than 300 people in two days of election-related violence.

Sheikh Khalid Abubakar said the bodies were brought to the Jos central mosque today for prayers before a quick burial in keeping with Islamic rites.
