'At least 143' killed in Mumbai attacks

The terror attacks in Mumbai have killed at least 143 people, according to reports from the Indian capital.

Indian external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee has blamed “elements in Pakistan” for the attacks.

Mr Mukherjee said: “According to preliminary information, some elements in Pakistan are responsible for Mumbai terror attacks. Proof cannot be disclosed at this time.”

A senior police official said 24 more bodies were found today, taking the death toll to 143.

Hundreds more were injured when suspected Islamic militants attacked 10 sites in Mumbai.
