Airliner crashes into sea off French coast

An airliner crashed into the Mediterranean today during a training flight.

The Airbus A320 carrying seven people went in off the coast of southern France.

Officials say the plane crashed in the sea near Canet-en-Roussillon, just north of the border with Spain, at around 4.30 pm local time.
