Police kill four Mumbai terror suspects

Police have killed four suspects in the Mumbai terror attacks and arrested nine more, officials said tonight.

State home secretary Bipin Shrimali said four men were killed in two incidents when they tried to flee in cars. State home minister RR Patil said nine others were arrested, but gave no further details.

The arrests come as heavily-armed gunmen attacked a pair of luxury hotels, a crowded railway station, a police station and other targets in Mumbai, and also took people hostage.
