US president-elect Barack Obama said today bank executives should forgo their bonuses this year to show they were taking responsibility amid difficult economic times.

US president-elect Barack Obama said today bank executives should forgo their bonuses this year to show they were taking responsibility amid difficult economic times.

In a TV interview to be shown later today, Mr Obama also said he was trying to keep his BlackBerry or find another way to “break through the isolation and the bubble that exists around the president”.
