Pakistani forces battling al-Qaida and Taliban fighters killed 15 militants in the tribal areas along Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan, the army said.

The fighting was in the Swat valley, a popular tourist destination before militant violence spread there last year. Six insurgents were also wounded in the clashes in several parts of the valley, the army said.
