Three Bengal white tigers mauled a cleaner to death today after he fell into a moat surrounding their enclosure at Singapore Zoo.

The tigers pounced on Nordin Mondong, of Malaysia, as terrified zoo visitors looked on.

Zoo workers managed to distract two of the animals, but the third tiger continued to maul 32-year-old Nordin. He died on the way to a hospital.

Each of the tigers weighs more than 220lb.

Bengal white tigers are found in the wild in South Asia, mostly in India.
