Putin denies 'gas cartel' plans

President Vladimir Putin sought to ease fears about his planned talks with other natural gas exporters today, saying Russia was not forming a gas cartel.

Mr Putin will hold co-operation talks with Iran and Qatar, which together with Russia account for nearly a third of the world’s natural gas exports.
