Thousands protest against gay-marriage ban

Thousands of protesters took to the streets to protest passage of a measure banning gay marriage in California, authorities said.

Between 8,000 and 10,000 demonstrators began marching through central San Diego at noon, according to police Sergeant Diane Wendell.
