Obama: 'Change has come to America'

US President-elect Barack Obama has said his victory in the US presidential election marked a "defining moment" for the US and that it showed "change has come to America".

He paid tribute to election rival John McCain and thanked his "best friend and love of my life", wife Michelle Obama.
