US kill eight in Syria attack

US military helicopters have launched an extremely rare attack on Syrian territory, killing eight people, including a father and his four sons.

A military official said the raid, near the Iraqi border, was targeting the network of al Qaida-linked foreign fighters moving through Syria into Iraq.
