Nancy Reagan leaves hospital

Former first lady Nancy Reagan has been released from a Los Angeles hospital where she was treated for a fractured pelvis.

Spokeswoman Joanne Drake said in a statement that Mrs Reagan has returned home and doctors expect a full recovery.

Drake says doctors have prescribed a regimen of daily physical therapy and a reduced public schedule.

The 87-year-old former first lady fell last week but did not see her doctor until Monday.

She was admitted to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centre.
