An airport official says a Yeti Airlines plane has crashed in eastern Nepal, killing 17 people on board, including 14 foreign tourists and two Nepalese crew members.

Mohan Adhikari, general manager of the Kathmandu Airport in Nepal’s capital, says the plane hit the airport boundary fencing while landing at Lukla Airport in eastern Nepal, in the Mount Everest region.
