A number of casualties are feared after a bomb exploded at the home of an opposition MP in eastern Pakistan, police said today.

Police official Ahmad Kamal said the blast occurred in the Bhakkar area in Punjab province at the home of Rasheed Akbar Niwani. He is a member of ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s party.
