Soldier killed as US helicopters collide
An Iraqi soldier was killed when two US helicopters collided while landing at a base in Baghdad, the US military said today.
A statement said two American troops and two other Iraqis also were wounded when the UH-60 Black Hawks crashed this evening in a northern section of the capital.
Military spokesman Captain Charles Calio said it is not clear how severe the collision was, but it did not appear to be caused by hostile fire.
The military said it is not known yet how many people were onboard the aircraft and an investigation is under way.
