Mugabe calls for sanctions to be lifted

Zimbabwe’s president lashed out at Western powers in a speech to the UN General Assembly, accusing them of genocide and calling for the removal of US sanctions.

Robert Mugabe also slammed Western-led efforts earlier this year at the UN to step up punitive measures against his regime, and he praised Russia and China for blocking them.
