Ukrainian governing coalition collapses

The speaker of the Ukrainian parliament has announced the collapse of the pro-Western governing coalition.

The alliance, composed of parties loyal to President Viktor Yushchenko and his 2004 Orange Revolution partner Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, fell apart yesterday after infighting between the two leaders.
