Suspects arrested after fatal New Delhi blasts

Police in India say they have detained several people in raids carried out across New Delhi a day after a series of blasts ripped through the Indian capital, killing at least 20 people.

Indian media reported today that 10 people have been detained.

New Delhi police spokesman Rajan Bhagat confirmed only that “several” people are being held.

Mr Baghat said police “have collected vital clues and ... hope to crack the case soon”.

A Muslim militant group claimed responsibility for yesterday’s bombings in an email sent to a number of Indian media outlets.
