Shots fired at Pakistan prime minister

Officials say shots were fired at a motorcade carrying the Pakistani prime minister, but that he is safe.

Zahid Bashir, press secretary to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, said two bullets struck the politician’s vehicle on the driver’s side near the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.

A security official said the shots were fired from a hill nearby.
