Airliner crashes on take-off

At least two people were feared dead after an airliner crashed on take-off at Madrid airport today, Spanish reports said.

The plane, a scheduled Spanair flight to Gran Canaria, burst into flames after leaving the runway, Spain’s El Mundo newspaper said.
