More than 30 Afghan militants killed

More than 30 militants have been killed in three days of battles with coalition forces in southern Afghanistan, officials said.

Militants attacked a coalition and Afghan patrol “numerous times” as they travelled through the Zamto Valley of Kandahar province between Wednesday and Friday.
