French plane drops aid and evacuates stranded foreigners

France’s Foreign Ministry said a French flight has delivered humanitarian aid to Georgia and evacuated hundreds of people stranded in the war-torn nation.

The ministry said today that the Airbus A-340 picked up 261 people who were grounded in the country when commercial flights were cancelled after the conflict with Russia broke out last week.
