Tourists evacuated amid bomb alerts

French officials say explosives experts have defused three explosive devices planted at tourist sites in France’s south-west Basque country.

About 1,200 people were evacuated from various tourist sites in the region following a phone tip-off. There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
