Bus passenger has head chopped off

A bus passenger stabbed the man sitting next to him dozens of times before decapitating him.

Canadian police said the attack happened last night as the bus was en route from Edmonton, Alberta, to Winnipeg, Manitoba.

They refused to give further details of what they described as a “major incident.” But passenger Garnet Caton said the victim was stabbed 40 or 50 times by the man sitting next to him before severing his head with a large knife.

Mr Caton said other passengers ran from the bus and that he and the driver shut the door from the outside while they waited for police.

He says the attacker calmly went to the front of the bus to show off the head.
