Drunk throws new-born baby to her death

A new-born baby girl was thrown to her death from an upstairs window by a drunken relative in Poland, police said today.

The baby was found last night, with the umbilical cord still attached, on the pavement beneath her family’s apartment block in Warsaw’s Praga district, a police spokeswoman said.
