Turkey's foreign ministry says three German climbers kidnapped more than a week ago by Kurdish rebels have been released and are in good condition.

The ministry says Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan called German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier this morning to say "the German climbers were in the hands of Turkish officials and their health condition was good".
