Four hurt in bull run
At least four people were hurt on the third day of Pamplona’s running of the bulls, the Spanish Red Cross said today.
Red Cross spokesman Jose Aldaba said one man was gored in the abdomen and three people suffered slighter injuries in the run at the Fiesta de San Fermin.
The pack of six fighting bulls accompanied by steer stayed in a tight pack for much of the run today, but one bull separated late in the course and turned towards the starting point several times and charged at people.
Herders with sticks eventually guided the animal into the bullring where the run ends.
Pile-ups of fallen runners formed at several points, and bulls ploughed into at least one of them.
