Backing for EU missing-children alert

France looks set to get backing from EU counterparts to put in place a Europe-wide, early-warning alert system to report missing children.

German Justice Minister Brigitte Zypries said her country could now accept a reworked plan drafted by France to set up a cross-border alert and hot line to report missing minors or child abductions.
