Medical check-up for Betancourt
Ingrid Betancourt today checked into a French military hospital for tests after spending six years in the hands of Colombian rebels.
The 46-year-old French-Colombian suffered hepatitis B at one point during her jungle captivity and said it was important to get a complete medical examination.
Three days after she and 14 other hostages found freedom, and a day after she arrived in France, Ms Betancourt checked in to Val de Grace military hospital in Paris today.
After a string of news conference and public appearances in Bogota and in Paris, she made no comment as she arrived.
