China: Floods death toll reaches 112

Weeks of rain pushed rivers over their banks in southern China, killing at least 112 people and displacing more than 1.27 million as the region braced for more downpours.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs in an online statement today said the deaths were reported in 12 provinces.
