Fire halts oil rig production

Norwegian oil company StatoilHydro ASA halted oil and gas production on a North Sea platform after a fire broke out.

The operator said the fire was soon extinguished on the Oseberg A platform yesterday afternoon and there was no need to evacuate staff.
