100 passengers killed in Sudan plane explosion

A Sudanese jet veered off a runway tonight and exploded into flames, killing about 100 people, Sudan’s state television reported.

About 200 passengers were thought to be aboard the plane when it landed in bad weather. A higher casualty toll was feared.
