Police say a bomb explosion on a passenger bus near Sri Lanka's capital has killed at least 21 people and wounded 47 others.

Police spokesman Ranjith Gunasekara said the blast occurred on a passenger bus in Moratuwa, near Sri Lanka's capital Colombo.
