45 Nigerian troops dead in crash

The military says a petrol tanker has crashed into a Nigerian army convoy killing 45 troops and injuring others.

Army Spokesman Brigadier General Emeka Onwuamaegbu says that one officer and 44 other soldiers died in the accident overnight as troops travelled to their base in northern Nigeria.
