A lawyer for the delivery man who said Howard Hughes left him £78m (€97.9m) after he rescued the reclusive billionaire in the desert has told a US court he deserves another chance to claim the cash.

Melvin Dummar claimed Mr Hughes left him $156m US (€196m) in a hand-scrawled will as a reward for the rescue – a story that was made into the Oscar-winning film Melvin And Howard in 1980.
