Stranded cruise ship in Latvia to be evacuated

Latvia’s coast guard says a stranded cruise ship with nearly 1,000 people on board will be evacuated.

Coast guard officer Ruslans Kulesovs says the captain of the Mona Lisa has agreed to evacuate the ship today after unsuccessful efforts to free it from a sand bank off Latvia’s coast.
