Attempted abduction near Madeleine resort

Private detectives hired by Kate and Gerry McCann are investigating the attempted abduction of a girl less than 30 miles from where Madeleine went missing, it emerged today.

A Dutch man has claimed that a stranger matching a description given in the McCann case tried to drag his daughter into his car in the village of Senhora da Rocha on the Algarve, southern Portugal, last month.
