20 children dead following viral outbreak

A viral outbreak in eastern China has killed 20 children and made almost 1,200 sick, health officials said today.

Enterovirus 71 infections were discovered in Fuyang, Anhui province, after hospitals started to take in patients with fever, blisters, ulcers in the mouth, or a rash on their hands and feet.
