Two Israeli guards killed near West Bank town
Two Israeli security guards have been killed in an attack by a Palestinian militant near the West Bank town of Tulkarem.
There were no other casualties reported, and no Palestinian militant group immediately claimed responsibility.
The factory where the attack took place early today is located on the border between Israel and the West Bank, which is controlled by the moderate Palestinian government of President Mahmoud Abbas.
There have been few shooting attacks in the area in recent years, but Israel has repeatedly said Mr Abbas’ government is not yet capable of controlling militants in the territory.
