Car park start for Japan's Olympic torch relay

Japan will start its Olympic torch relay from a car park after a famous temple pulled out over security concerns and sympathy for Tibetan protesters.

Nagano city chiefs will now start the April 26 leg of the relay, which has been dogged by anti-China protests as it has worked its way around the world, at a city-owned car park, Yuya Kobayashi said today at the city’s planning committee for the relay.
