Zimbabwe's High Court today rejected a legal appeal for immediate release of the country's delayed presidential election results.

Opposition lawyer Andrew Makoni said the court issued a ruling dismissing their petition for the results. The electoral commission has said it is still verifying the votes.

President Robert Mugabe is widely believed to have lost the election which, was held more than a fortnight ago, and is accused of stalling over the result to give him more time to rig a re-run.
