Coalition deal struck in Kenya

Officials say Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki and opposition leader Raila Odinga have reached deal on a coalition Cabinet.

The officials say Kibaki and Odinga have agreed following seven hours of talks outside the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and will announce the new ministers tomorrow afternoon.

Kibaki’s spokesman Isaiya Kabira would not confirm the reports but said there was a “good chance” a Cabinet could be announced on Sunday.
