Mbeki arrives for urgent meeting with Mugabe

South African president Thabo Mbeki has arrived in Harare for an urgent meeting with President Robert Mugabe, a Zimbabwean government official said today.

Mbeki will attend a meeting of southern African leaders later today in Zambia to discuss the deepening political crisis in Zimbabwe.
