Outrage over Mugabe 'recount call'
President Robert Mugabe’s ruling party has demanded a vote recount and a further delay in the release of results from Zimbabwe’s presidential election, it is reported, in a move that sparked outrage from the opposition party.
Meanwhile, militant supporters of the ruling party invaded eight of the few remaining white-owned commercial farms yesterday, driving at least four cattle ranchers off their land and seizing equipment and livestock, the farmers said - another sign Mugabe plans to use violence to stay in power.
