Mugabe's party demands recount

President Robert Mugabe’s ruling party is demanding a recount of votes and a further delay to the announcement of presidential election results, the state-controlled Sunday Mail newspaper reported.

The report came a day after opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai called on Mugabe to step down and accused the country’s long-time ruler of plotting a campaign of violence to bolster his chances of winning an expected run off.
