MDC claims victory for Tsvangirai in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe's Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) has claimed that Morgan Tsvangirai has won the presidential election outright with 50.3% of the vote.

The party’s general secretary Tendai Biti said that the result meant that there was no need for an election run-off against Mugabe.
