Contrite Clinton looks to woo Black voters

Hillary Clinton apologised to black voters on the day that a prominent supporter quit her campaign team after ill-judged remarks about rival candidate Barack Obama.

The New York senator, who is in a tight race with Mr Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination, struck a contrite note at an evening forum sponsored by the National Newspaper Publishers Association, a group of more than 200 black community newspapers across the country.
