Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said today that US-Iran talks have helped improve security in Iraq but rejected claims that the Islamic Republic is fuelling violence in its western neighbour, reported the state news agency.

Iran and the United States have held three rounds of talks about the security situation in Iraq, and in recent months US officials have cited a dramatic drop in violence in the war torn country.
