Eight dead as heavy storms hit Europe

Powerful storms hit central Europe today, killing at least eight people, media and officials said.

A falling tree killed an 11-year-old girl in Libeznice, north of Prague, and a man died after he was hit by falling metal sheets in Sadska, east of the Czech capital, Czech public radio said.
